We are delighted that the national lockdown restrictions in place from 5th November, has not resulted in changes to visits in our care homes. Understanding the impact visits can have on the wellbeing of our residents, as well as their loved ones, means this is a welcomed response from the government. Their guidelines, released on 4th November, provides more information and can be found here.
The guidance sets out measures that can be put in place to provide Covid-secure opportunities for families to meet, using visiting arrangements such as substantial screens, visiting pods, and window visits. We have updated all of our policies and procedures inline with the Adult Social Care Winter Plan 20/21, released on 21st September, to ensure that our procedures keep you and your loved ones safe. If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact our care homes directly, where we will be happy to discuss in more detail.
Our last update on the 15th October outlined the work we are doing to enable safe visits, which we are making fantastic progress on; many residents and families are already making use of the great visiting spaces that we have created.
We really look forward to welcoming you, so please contact your local home to book your visit with your loved one. You can find the contact details for each of our care homes here.
We continue to use the most up-to-date technology in our homes, meaning there are multiple ways in which residents can keep in touch with their nearest, on a regular basis. Since March, this has proven to be a great hit among residents and their loved ones alike.
Visitations require guests to wear PPE and to maintain a safe two metre distance at all times. Appointments must be booked in advance to cater to all residents, while ensuring we are able to clean after each visit. We ask each designated visitor to read and sign our visitor policy so that we can work together to reduce the risk of transmission and ultimately keep each other safe.
We have created a guidance leaflet on how appointments will be conducted and all the things you need to know, before you visit. This guidance can be viewed and downloaded here and is available as a hard copy at each home.
Should you need assistance with setting up a video call, please contact; [email protected] and we will be more than happy to help you.
Thank you for your continued support.
